Andy Thorn

Carshalton-born central defender Andy Thorn began with Wimbledon and was part of the club’s 1988 FA Cup-winning side. He later played for Newcastle United and Crystal Palace, helping Palace reach the 1990 FA Cup final, before returning to Wimbledon.

After a short spell with Hearts, Thorn joined Tranmere Rovers, where a knee injury ended his playing career. He later moved into coaching and management, taking charge of Coventry City and Kidderminster Harriers.
