Billy Woods


Billy Woods, born on October 24, 1973 in Cork, is an Irish former professional footballer. He started his career playing schoolboy football with Midleton and then moved to Coventry City for two and a half years. In July 1995, Woods signed for Tranmere Rovers, where he spent two years, including a loan spell at Blackpool. After his time with Tranmere Rovers, Woods played for Portadown in the Irish League before returning to the League of Ireland with Shamrock Rovers in June 1998. He later joined Cork City and ended his football career in 2010. Woods is currently the Under 15s Coach with Cork City.
