Description

David Beresford is an English former footballer who had a 12-year career in the Football League as a midfielder. He started his career at Oldham Athletic, making 64 league appearances between 1994 and 1997. Beresford also briefly played for Swansea City on loan in 1995.

His last club was Tranmere Rovers, where he played in the 2004-05 season. After his time at Tranmere Rovers, he moved to Macclesfield Town, playing until 2007. Beresford's national team career includes 14 caps for the England under-16s and under-18s.

In March 2024, Tranmere Rovers faced a defeat against Bradford City, where Beresford's presence was noted as a new signing training with the team for the first time.
