Tranmere story
David Beresford is an English former midfielder who began with Oldham Athletic and represented England at youth level. He later played for Huddersfield Town, Hull City and Plymouth Argyle, with loan spells at Swansea City, Preston North End, Port Vale and Macclesfield Town, before joining Tranmere Rovers in 2003. He subsequently returned to Macclesfield.
