Tranmere story
Frank Lane was an English goalkeeper, born in Wallasey. He began his Football League career with Tranmere Rovers before joining Liverpool in 1971 as cover for Ray Clemence. Lane was part of Liverpool's 1973 UEFA Cup-winning squad and later played for Notts County, Kettering Town and Bedford Town. He died in 2011.
