Tranmere story
Ivano Bonetti is an Italian former midfielder born in Brescia. He began with his hometown club before joining Genoa and later represented Juventus, Atalanta, Bologna, Sampdoria and Torino, winning major honours in Italy.
Bonetti moved to England with Grimsby Town in 1995 and joined Tranmere Rovers the following year. He later played for Crystal Palace, returned to Genoa and continued his career in Scotland with Dundee United and Dundee, where he also worked as a manager.
