Tranmere story

Jack Joseph Barrett is an English goalkeeper who joined Tranmere Rovers on loan from Blackburn Rovers in September 2025. The initial agreement ran until January 2026 before being extended to the end of the season.

Barrett joined Everton’s academy at the age of nine and progressed through the club’s youth ranks to the under-21 side. He spent part of 2024 on loan with Canadian Premier League club Cavalry FC, where he made his senior debut, before moving to Blackburn Rovers that summer. A further loan spell with Workington preceded his move to Prenton Park.
