Tranmere story

James Michael “Jay” McEveley is a former Scotland international defender born in Liverpool. He developed with Everton and Blackburn Rovers and went on to represent Burnley, Gillingham, Ipswich Town, Derby County, Preston North End, Charlton Athletic, Barnsley, Swindon Town, Sheffield United and Ross County.

McEveley joined Tranmere Rovers in 2017 and later continued his career with Warrington Town. At international level, he represented England in youth football before playing for Scotland B and the senior Scotland team.
