John Clayton is a Scottish former striker from Elgin. He began with Derby County, played in Hong Kong for Bulova and represented Chesterfield before joining Tranmere Rovers in 1984; he later played for Plymouth Argyle, Fortuna Sittard, Volendam and Burnley.
