Description

Ken Beamish is a former English football player who was born on August 25, 1947. He played as a forward and had a successful career spanning sixteen years in the Football League. Beamish began his professional career with Tranmere Rovers in 1965, where he spent six years. He scored a total of 198 goals in 642 league and cup games during his career.

Beamish retired from professional football on July 1, 1982, with Swindon Town being his last club. He is most notably remembered for his time at Tranmere Rovers, where he made a significant impact before moving on to play for other clubs such as Brighton, Blackburn Rovers, Port Vale, and Bury.

After retiring as a player, Beamish transitioned into coaching and management roles. He returned to Blackburn Rovers to manage their Commercial department in 1986 and held the post until his retirement in 2012. Throughout his career, Beamish demonstrated his dedication and talent both on and off the field, leaving a lasting legacy in English football.
