Tranmere story
Marko Maroši is a Slovak goalkeeper from Michalovce who joined Tranmere Rovers on emergency loan from Port Vale during the 2025/26 season. He made 16 League Two appearances for Rovers across two loan spells.
After beginning his senior career in English non-League football, Maroši progressed through Wigan Athletic and Doncaster Rovers before joining Coventry City in 2019. He contributed to Coventry’s League One title-winning campaign in 2019/20 and later represented Shrewsbury Town, Plymouth Argyle and Cambridge United before signing for Port Vale in 2025. He also represented Slovakia at under-21 level.
