Description

Philip Matthew Whitehead, born on December 17, 1969, is an English former professional football goalkeeper. While he is primarily known for his time at Oxford United and Reading, Whitehead also had a stint at Tranmere Rovers. He played for Tranmere Rovers as a goalkeeper from September 2002 to October 2002. Following his time at Tranmere Rovers, Whitehead went on to play for other clubs such as West Bromwich Albion and York City FC.

Whitehead retired from professional football on July 1, 2004, after his last club, Tamworth. His career spanned playing in various divisions including the Championship, League One, and League Two.
