Syd Farrimond

English left-back Syd Farrimond came through Bolton Wanderers' junior ranks and became a regular at Burnden Park during the 1960s. He made more than 400 league appearances for Bolton and also represented England at youth level.

Farrimond joined Tranmere Rovers in the early 1970s, making almost 150 appearances for the club before a brief spell with Halifax Town. He later held coaching roles with Sunderland and Leeds United. Farrimond died in 2022.
