Zech Obiero

Zech Obiero is a Kenyan international central midfielder born in Redbridge, London. He joined Tranmere Rovers on loan from Leyton Orient in February 2026 for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, scoring on his home debut against Crawley Town.

Obiero spent seven years in Tottenham Hotspur’s academy before moving to Leyton Orient at the age of 14. After signing professional terms in 2022, he made his senior debut for the O’s and gained further first-team experience during loan spells with Cheshunt and Chelmsford City. His long-range strike for Tranmere against Oldham Athletic was named the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month for March 2026. Having previously represented Kenya at under-20 level, he made his senior international debut in 2026.
