Alan Mahon

Irish midfielder who came with through the youth system and played a hug part in the team that reached the League Cup final in 2000. Left the club on a free transfer to Sporting Lisbon, before returning to England with spells at Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic.

His return to the club later in his career was less successful and struggled to get into the team before retiring.
