John Achterberg

John Achterberg, born on July 8, 1971 in Utrecht, is a former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He spent the majority of his playing career with Tranmere Rovers from 1998 to 2009, making 351 appearances for the club. Achterberg then transitioned into coaching and became the goalkeeping coach for Liverpool, where he has been for 15 years until his announcement to leave the club at the end of the 2023-24 season.
