Description

Pat Nevin is a celebrated Scottish former professional footballer, born on September 6, 1963. Known for his intelligent play and flair on the wing, Nevin's career spanned over two decades during which he played for several clubs, including Clyde, Chelsea, Everton, Tranmere Rovers, Kilmarnock, and Motherwell. He made a significant impact at Tranmere Rovers, where he made 239 appearances and scored 39 goals. Nevin's debut for the club came on March 6, 1992, against Port Vale. Initially joining on loan from Everton in the 1991 season, he later made a permanent move for £300,000 in 1992. After a successful stint, he transferred to Kilmarnock in 1997 for £60,000. Beyond his club career, Nevin earned 28 caps for the Scottish national team over a ten-year period. His time at Tranmere Rovers is particularly cherished by Nevin, as he regards it as one of the most enjoyable times of his playing career.
