Tony Thomas, born on July 12, 1971, is an English former professional footballer who primarily played as a defender. He had a notable career with Tranmere Rovers, where he spent the majority of his playing days. Thomas began his career as a junior with Tranmere Rovers reserves and made his debut for the senior team at the age of 17 during the 1987-88 season. He went on to make over 300 appearances for the club in the next ten years.
